6. Proximity Sensor is used for speed measurement and distance measurement purposes of vehicles.

1. Photoelectric Proximity Sensors are used for the detection of Plastic Objects.

2. Inductive Proximity Sensors are used for the detection of Metal Objects.

3. Ultrasonic Proximity Sensors are used for distance measurement from an object.

4. IR Proximity sensors are used for counting applications. It is a low-range sensor.

5. Capacitive Proximity Sensors are used for the detection of non-ferrous objects, small weighted objects. Capacitive Proximity sensors can provide more accuracy than others.

6. Proximity Sensors are used for position sensing. Generally, the inductive proximity sensor and photoelectric proximity sensor is used for position-sensing purpose.

7. A Proximity Sensor is used for the vibration measurement of electrical motors.
