[Exact] Difference between Coupling Capacitor and Bypass Capacitor
Coupling capacitor and Bypass capacitor not physically different devices. The same capacitor can be called a coupling capacitor or bypass capacitor. It just depends upon where it is used.
When a capacitor is used in a circuit for signal bypassing purpose then it can be called a bypass capacitor. On the other hand, when that same capacitor is used in a circuit for coupling purpose then it can be called a coupling capacitor.

Coupling Capacitor
When a capacitor is used to couple or link two circuits in such a way that only high-frequency signals can pass from one circuit to another circuit then it is called Coupling Capacitor. The coupling capacitor is nothing but a normal capacitor.
Here you can see in the below figure, only high-frequency signals can flow from one circuit to another circuit.
Coupling capacitors are mainly used to pass AC signal or high-frequency signals and to block DC signal or low-frequency signals. Coupling Capacitors are connected in series with the load to be coupled. The coupling capacitor provides a low impedance path to AC signals or high-frequency signals and also provides a high impedance path to low-frequency signals or DC signals. As this type of capacitor is used to link couple of capacitor, it is known as coupling Capacitor.
Applications and Use of Coupling Capacitor
1. Coupling capacitors are mostly used in Electronic Amplifier Circuits. Where the coupling capacitor is connected between audio input circuit or device(such as microphone) and Amplifier input.
2. Coupling Capacitors are used in RF signal processing Circuits. Here, the coupling capacitor s very helpful for noise reduction.
3. Coupling capacitors are used in Analog Microphone Circuits.
4. Coupling capacitors are used in audio equalizer circuits.
5. Coupling Capacitors are used in electronic filter circuits.

Bypass Capacitor
When a capacitor is used in an electronic circuit in such a way that it will ground the AC signals or high-frequency signals, then it is called the Bypass capacitor. The bypass capacitor is also nothing but a normal capacitor.
The below figure will give you a basic idea of the Bypass capacitor.
The Bypass capacitor provides a high impedance path to DC signals or low-frequency signals and also provides a low impedance path to high-frequency signals or AC signals. So it is used to ground the AC or high-frequency signals in an electronic circuit. Bypass capacitors are used to remove unwanted noise from circuits.
Applications and Use of Bypass Capacitor
1. Bypass capacitors are used in amplifier circuits. Herr, it bypassed the unwanted noise signals to the ground.
2. Bypass capacitors are used in DC power supply circuits for microcontrollers, Sensors, etc.
3. Bypass capacitors are used in electronic amplifier circuits.
4. Bypass capacitors are used in electronic tuning circuits.
5. Bypass Capacitors are used in Rectifier and Inverter circuits where it filters the power supplies by bypassed the unwanted noise components to the ground.
